This fall, The Columbus State University Schwob Singers have been honored with an invitation to perform at the 11th National Conference of the National Collegiate Choral Organization (NCCO), which will take place at Cal State Fullerton in Fullerton, California. Out of all the collegiate choirs nationwide, the Schwob Singers were selected by audition to perform alongside several premier ensembles from prestigious institutions. This marks the first time the Schwob Singers will perform as a featured ensemble at a national conference, making it a wonderful opportunity to showcase our school and community on a national stage.
NCCO is widely regarded as the leading organization for collegiate choral music in the United States. The conference brings together the most accomplished university choirs, educators, and conductors from across the country. For our students, participating in NCCO11 will be a life-changing experience: it provides a platform to perform at an exceptional level, network with leaders in the field, and proudly represent Columbus State University and, by extension, our Columbus, GA community.
We estimate the cost to be approximately $1,100 per person, and CSU strives to ensure students are not burdened with these expenses. Our objective is to raise $40,000 to fully fund the trip without utilizing resources designated for student scholarships. Your support would directly contribute to covering travel and participation costs, ensuring that no student is excluded due to financial constraints. Beyond that, your generosity will leave a lasting impact—helping our singers grow as artists and leaders while bringing national recognition to Columbus State University and our community. Thank you for your generosity and consideration of this request!
